In 1948, Giuseppe Mazzucco, a master pastry chef in Asti, Italy developed a secret recipe for torrone involving a laborious nine-hour process. With such devotion to his trade, Giuseppe's reputation soon grew to become one of the finest torrone craftsmen in the region.  This was the beginning of the Golden Bonbon history.
